Pastor Steve was raised in the small town of Jordan Station and was baptized at Immanuel United Reformed Church in Jordan. He was homeschooled up to Grade 5 along with his brothers Matt and Darren. He then began attending Heritage Christian School where he graduated in 2015. Pastor Steve has shown a love for God and for His Word from a young age. His passion for theology, music, and the church would become more and more apparent throughout his childhood and through his years of high school. He decided to work for a year after Grade 12 to further contemplate the Lord’s leading. At that time, he felt increasingly confident that God was leading him toward the ministry. He proceeded to apply for school at Brock University where he graduated with a degree in Classics. He then attended Puritan Reformed Seminary in Grand Rapids for his pastoral training. Soon after graduating, he received a call to Living Water Reformed Church where he now serves alongside Pastor Greg Bylsma.
In his spare time, Pastor Steve enjoys most racket sports, hockey and spending time outdoors. He is very thankful for his family, for his friends, for the many who have mentored him along the way, and for the great privilege of serving the church of Jesus Christ.
